Dr. Arianna Rotulo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen’s Campus Fryslân, affiliated with the Sustainable Health department. She holds a PhD from Queen Mary University of London (2022) on fiscal decentralization’s impact on healthcare access. Her research integrates econometrics, economic geography, and political economy to address health equity and system preparedness. She leads interdisciplinary projects on degrowth, health governance, and IMF-driven healthcare reforms in Europe (funded by ELIDEK). Rotulo teaches courses on global health systems and economics, and advises the Mi.Fa.Bene project in Rome. She collaborates internationally with Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and serves on the IAHPE board.
