His research focuses on evidence-informed policy, oral health services, digital oral health literacy, and inequality. He has introduced the 'Triangle of Inequality in Dental Services' model and developed a methodological framework for sensitivity analysis using Ratio of Mediator Probability Weighting (RMPW) for counterfactual mediation analysis. His work spans qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research approaches.
Analysis of his recent publications (2021-2025) reveals a consistent focus on health inequalities in dental services, particularly examining socioeconomic, geographic, and Indigenous status determinants of oral health access and outcomes. His research increasingly incorporates methodological innovations in mediation analysis and health economics approaches to evaluate dental service utilization patterns.
