April Wright is Professor of Organization Studies at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. She is an organizational theorist whose research employs qualitative field methods to investigate how institutions are created, changed, maintained, and disrupted, with a particular focus on professional work and the custodianship of values and places.

- Institutional and Organizational Change: Using ethnographic and qualitative field methods to explore how professions, values, and places are shaped and sustained across contexts such as hospital emergency departments and English cricket.
- Management Learning & Education: Investigating threshold concept learning, evidence-based management, and innovative pedagogies including team-based and experiential learning.
