Dr. April Nelms is a Professor at the University of North Georgia's College of Education, where she has served in multiple leadership roles including Coordinator of Science Education, department head, and currently as Associate Dean responsible for assessment, accreditation, and reporting. She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Alabama.
Her research focuses on science education methodologies, pedagogical content knowledge, longitudinal professional development, and student analysis of primary literature.
