Dr. Aparna Ravi is a Lecturer (Teaching) in International Political Economy at University College London's Department of Political Science. She serves as Deputy Programme Director for the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics BSc programme and co-convener of the Politics of the Global South research cluster. Her research examines outward investment from the Global South, development finance, and labor standards in transnational corporations. She holds a PhD from George Washington University (2021), MA from the University of Chicago, and BA from Emory University.

Her current book project investigates how outward investment from emerging markets impacts national economic policies. Fieldwork across New Delhi, Mumbai, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília, and Colombo has been supported by GWU CIBER and UCL's Department Research Fund. Her research appears in Business and Politics and has been featured in the Washington Post.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on International Political Economy and Governing Global Business. Beyond academia, she enjoys tennis, watercolor painting, and exploring London's cultural venues.
