Antonio Duran, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in Higher and Postsecondary Education at Arizona State University. His research focuses on the impact of historical and contemporary legacies of oppression, including racism, heterosexism, and transphobia, on college student development and success. As a queer cisgender Latino man, he is deeply committed to advocating for queer and trans communities of color, Latinx populations, and other marginalized groups within educational systems.
- Education: PhD in Educational Leadership and Innovation; currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD).
Duran’s work centers on addressing systemic inequities in educational institutions, with a particular emphasis on intersectional approaches to marginalization. His scholarship seeks to bridge educational research with legal frameworks to promote equity and inclusion.
