Anthony Miro Born is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Sociology and ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Methodology at LSE. His research focuses on urban inequality, social class, and qualitative methods, with a particular emphasis on housing and social mobility. He holds a PhD from LSE (finalist for the German Thesis Award) and has affiliations with Goethe University Frankfurt and TU Berlin's Collaborative Research Centre 1265.

His work explores how territorial stigma impacts upward mobility and investigates affluent urban spaces through innovative qualitative approaches. Publications include Urban Studies, The Sociological Review, and a forthcoming monograph with OUP. Awards include the 2023 Best Article Award for Urban Studies. He co-edited Intersectionality and the City (Routledge 2025) and created a comic translating his research into public dialogue.
