Dr Anthony James is a Senior Research Fellow in Plant Pathology at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), affiliated with the School of Biology & Environmental Science and the Centre for Agriculture and the Bioeconomy. He leads research in the Banana Biotechnology Program, focusing on developing disease-resistant tropical crops using genomic tools and biotechnology. With a PhD in plant virology, his 20+ year career includes roles at BSES Limited and the University of Crete, Greece.
