Anthony Collins

Anthony Collins, PhD, is a Professor and Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at Saba University School of Medicine, where he also serves as Course Director for Systems and Disease III. His academic roles include leadership in medical education and curriculum development, particularly in pathophysiology-focused courses. Dr. Collins holds a PhD in Pathophysiology and has over two decades of experience in academic research and teaching.

His research expertise spans Cardiovascular Physiology, Cellular and Molecular Physiology, and Electrophysiology, with a focus on ion channels, membrane transport mechanisms, and microRNA regulation in cardiac and neuronal systems. Notable contributions include studies on potassium channel regulation, microRNA targeting of ion channels, and lipid signaling pathways.
