Anne Reitz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Developmental Psychology at the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Tilburg University. She holds a PhD in Psychology from Humboldt University, Berlin, completed with summa cum laude honors in 2013, and an MSc with distinction from Philipps-Universität Marburg.
Dr. Reitz's research focuses on the development of self-esteem, life satisfaction, identity, and personality within social contexts and during life transitions. She employs longitudinal research methods, including experience sampling techniques, to examine short-term dynamic person-context interactions and their relationship to developmental stability and change. Her conceptual framework takes a lifespan approach that integrates developmental and personality psychology perspectives. She collaborates with researchers from human resource studies, sociology, and philosophy, applying her research to address social issues related to immigration, work, and aging.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on self-esteem dynamics during major life transitions, particularly the university-to-work transition and parenthood.
