Anna Weiss

Anna Weiss, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She specializes in Breast Surgery, General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Cancer care, with a focus on multidisciplinary treatment approaches and patient-centered care.

Weiss completed her MD at Case Western Reserve University, followed by a residency in General Surgery at the University of California San Diego, and a breast surgery fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her clinical work emphasizes shared decision-making and providing cutting-edge treatments through multidisciplinary teams at the Pluta Breast Center/Wilmot Cancer Institute.

She has received numerous awards, including the Corynee S. Uhl Award for compassionate breast cancer care, the Conquer Cancer Merit Award from ASCO, and the Best Manuscript Award from the Association of Women Surgeons. Her research includes clinical trials like OptimICE-PCR, focusing on de-escalation therapy for early-stage triple-negative breast cancer patients.
