About
Anna Sullivan is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in Liberal Arts at Regent's University London. She has held academic roles at institutions including Bucknell University's London Program (since 2003) and the University of Wisconsin's London Summer Program (2002–2011). Her career spans acting, directing, and teaching in theatre, film, television, and radio. She holds a BA Hons in Drama and English from the University of Kent.
Her research focuses on inclusive theatre education, particularly working with actors with disabilities. Notably, she contributed to the BBC Horizon documentary *Living with Autism* (2013), showcasing her work with an actor diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome through improvisation techniques.
Anna has received grants including the John Oppenheim Foundation Grant for Voice Training and a HASS Research Grant for a film project with an ex-student actor with Asperger’s. She has developed courses such as the Foundation Certificate in Acting and contributed to BA programs in Acting and Global Theatre. Her teaching portfolio includes roles at Colby College (Maine, USA) and Royal Holloway College (UK).
Professional affiliations include the Higher Education Academy Fellowship. She has also led workshops globally, including in India, and has extensive corporate video and voice-over experience for entities like Barclays Bank and BBC Radio 3.
