Anna Queiroz

Dr. Anna Queiroz serves as an Associate Professor in the Interactive Media Department at the University of Miami and is a member of the Frost Institute of Data Science and Computing. Her academic work spans internationally across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, pioneering Virtual Reality applications for communication, education, and climate change initiatives in public settings.

Her educational background includes a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Cognitive Psychology, complemented by degrees in business, behavioral medicine, and education. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship through a dual appointment at Stanford University's Graduate School of Education and School of Communication.

Research Interests: Dr. Queiroz investigates the cognitive, social, and psychological impacts of emerging media on human behavior through lab and field studies that integrate artificial intelligence with traditional research methods. Her work establishes critical frameworks for educational technology and climate change communication, demonstrated by a landmark VR project engaging 33,000 students from low-income communities.
