Dr. Anna Plotnikova is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Change at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Her research focuses on digital transformation’s impact on strategizing activities, particularly through online communities in multinational organizations. She holds a PhD from the University of Leeds (2020) and an MSc from Radboud University (2015). Her work integrates strategy process and practice theories, addressing challenges in open strategizing and legitimacy dynamics.
Research interests include corporate strategy design, identity work in organizations, communication processes, and online community governance. Her recent projects explore reinvention strategies and bidirectional framing in stakeholder engagement, supported by EU Horizon 2020 collaborations.
Teaching includes Management and Practice of Consulting, Organizational Development, and Master thesis supervision.
