Anna Hadjioannou is a Lecturer in Clinical Communication at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She holds a PhD in Mental Health from the Nursing Department of the Cyprus University of Technology, alongside postgraduate qualifications in Advanced Mental Nursing and Care, and undergraduate training in Nursing. Her certifications include Addiction Counselling from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Empowerment of Chronic Patients from the University of Turku. She is also a certified Psychotherapist specializing in Cognitive-Behavioural approaches.
Her research focuses on empowering individuals with neurocognitive and neurobiological disorders to manage their symptoms and improving communication between healthcare professionals and patients. Dr. Hadjioannou has received awards from organizations including the Hellenic Psychiatric Association and the Cyprus Nurses and Midwives Association.
