Ann J. Morning

Ann J. Morning is an Associate Professor of Sociology at New York University (NYU), based primarily at the Washington Square Campus. She holds a secondary affiliation with NYU Abu Dhabi, where she is currently teaching for the semester. Her research focuses on the sociology of race/ethnicity and the sociology of science, examining how scientific practices intersect with social structures and identity formations. She maintains active research collaborations across NYU’s global network campuses.

Dr. Morning’s work bridges theoretical and empirical investigations into racial classification systems, the role of scientific authority in shaping public discourse, and the sociological implications of technological advancements in genomics.
