Anja Steidinger

Dr. Anja Steidinger is a Professor of Art Education at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK Hamburg) since the winter semester 2020/21. Her work intersects art, politics, and education, emphasizing collaborative production and anti-discriminatory perspectives. She co-founded the activist collective _Enmedio_ and the children's film mediation project _La Maleta del Cine_ in Barcelona. Her research explores artistic representations of socio-political unease, particularly in the context of Spain's economic crisis (published as "Artistic (Self-)Representations of Unease" in 2015).

Steidinger’s methodologies prioritize creating spaces for communication and collective action through artistic intervention. She leads the 'Wartenau Assemblies,' a format blending art, education, research, and activism.
