Dr. Anita R. Kellogg is an Assistant Professor at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, National Defense University, and a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of Johns Hopkins SAIS. Her research focuses on the role of business communities in foreign policy, Chinese economic statecraft, and international economics. She is authoring a book examining how economically interdependent nations avoid military conflict through business engagement and expanding studies on China's strategic economic tools globally.
Education: PhD in Political Science (UCLA, International Relations & Quantitative Methods), Master’s degrees from University of Chicago and University of Amsterdam. She has conducted fieldwork across East Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Publications include academic works and general-audience articles in The Washington Post’s Monkey Cage, Duck of Minerva, and her blog (arkellogg.com/anitakellogg.com). She hosts Kellogg's Global Politics, a podcast on international current events and U.S. foreign policy.
