Anik Pearson

Anik Pearson is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Cooper Union’s Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture. She is the founder and principal of Anik Pearson Architect, P.C., a 100% woman-owned firm established in NYC in 2001, renowned for blending modern and classical architectural elements with sustainability and historical preservation. Her work spans residential, commercial, and institutional projects, emphasizing ecological mindfulness and meticulous craftsmanship.

• Education: Valedictorian of The Cooper Union, licensed as an architect at 29.

Her research interests focus on merging modern design with classical traditions, sustainable practices, and the interplay between art and architecture. Projects like the St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church restoration and the Wingdale estate exemplify her commitment to permanence and ecological responsibility.

She mentors through the Mentoring Women in Architecture (MWA) and established the Sue Ferguson Gussow Scholarship at Cooper Union. Her professional roles include serving as Vice-Chair of the New York State Board for Architecture.
