Angie Richey, Ph.D., serves as the 11th President of Life Pacific University, a role she assumed in July 2019. With over 20 years of service at the institution, she has held roles including Adjunct Professor (1999-2019), Director of Enrollment (2009-2012), and Vice President of Enrollment/Chief Communications Officer (2016-2019). Her academic background includes a B.A. from Life Pacific University (1997), M.Ed. in Curriculum Design/Instruction (Hope International University, 2003), M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy (2009), and a Ph.D. in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Life Coaching (Regent University, 2022).
Her professional focus spans counseling, forgiveness advocacy (via a 2012 documentary with Academy Award-winning producer Arnold Shapiro), and leadership in Christian higher education. She is a recognized voice on Generation Z engagement and adaptive leadership, featured in Chronicle of Higher Education and Christianity Today. Her contributions include leading Life Pacific’s WSCUC reaffirmation and ABHE accreditation processes, as well as building enrollment strategies and media teams.
Richey is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice serving executives, artists, teens, and entertainment professionals. She actively contributes to her community through church leadership (co-founder of The Gathering house church network) and national church committees (Foursquare Board of Directors, NextGen Sub-Committee).
