Angelica Fenner is a cross-appointed Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, holding roles in the Cinema Studies Institute and the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures. She is affiliated with the Centre for European and Eurasian Studies. Her research focuses on women’s film authorship in German and European cinema, diaspora, feminist/queer theory, documentary media, and posthumanist ecologies.

Her book Race Under Reconstruction in German Cinema (2011) explores postwar racial discourses. She regularly teaches graduate seminars on personal documentary and collaborates on interdisciplinary film studies projects.
