Angelia Trujillo

Angelia Trujillo is a Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Nursing with 20+ years specializing in interpersonal violence response and forensic nursing. She maintains clinical practice as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and forensic examiner for all age groups. Dr. Trujillo founded the Alaska Comprehensive Forensic Training Academy (2019) and co-founded the Academy of Forensic Nursing.

Her research focuses on:

• Development of forensic care models and protocols
• Interpersonal violence prevention strategies
• Policy advocacy including federal legislation
• Community health approaches to violence

She has contributed to federal legislation including the Violence Against Women Act reauthorization (2022) and serves on the Alaska Violent Death Reporting System Advisory Board. Her scholarly work includes publications on forensic care models, social media risks, and clinical guidelines.
