Angela Underhill

Angela Underhill is a Contract Academic Staff member in the Department of Sexualities, Relationships, and Families at the University of Guelph. She holds an MSc from the University of Guelph and a BA from the University of Waterloo. As a Ph.D. Candidate supervised by Dr. Carla Rice, she focuses on feminist approaches to advancing equitable healthcare and social inclusion, particularly in sexual and reproductive health rights. She also serves as a Research Associate at Re·Vision: The Centre for Art and Social Justice and Interim Research Manager for the Women and HIV Research Program at Women’s College Hospital in Toronto.

Her research passions include critical feminist theories, bridging research to practice, and addressing healthcare inequities. Recent publications emphasize transgender health, HIV care models, and participatory research methodologies. Notable articles include work on HIV care among transgender women and optimizing engagement in trans-focused HIV research.
