Angela Tiura

Angela Tiura is a Full-time Associate Professor at Wayne State University's School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Her research focuses on the intersection of sexual violence, sexual risk-taking behaviors, and addictive behaviors such as alcohol use and overeating, with a growing emphasis on health behavior change interventions.

She is affiliated with the WSU AAUP-AFT and has been actively involved in academic service. Dr. Tiura teaches courses like Health Promotion Messaging and Advocacy (FPH7511) and Social Justice in Public Health (FPH7012) consistently from 2023 to 2025.
