Angela Gelatt is a Lecturer in the Department of Public and Community Health Education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She holds a BA in English and Study of Culture & Society from Drake University and an MPH in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her expertise includes Sexual Health, Adolescent Health, Global Health, Communication, Grant Writing, and Program Planning.
She currently teaches courses such as PH 204: Introduction to Global Health, HED 442: Sexual Health Promotion, and PH 700: Public Health Foundations. Her career includes teaching PH 335: Environmental Health and FYS 100: You Know, Sex.
Gelatt is active in professional organizations, including the Society for Public Health Education and the American Public Health Association. Notable contributions include co-presenting "Talking About Sex with First Years: Lessons Learned from Implementing Undergraduate Comprehensive Sexuality Education" at the 2024 Society for Public Health Education Annual Conference and collaborating on PATCH (Providers and Teens Communicating for Health), an innovative program addressing adolescent health inequities through policy advocacy.
