Angel Riggs

Angel Riggs is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Education, Communication & Leadership at Oklahoma State University (OSU), within the College of Agriculture. She holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Education from OSU and has held academic positions including Assistant Professor (2014–2020) and Associate Professor (2020–2025). Her research focuses on student media literacy, science communication, and consumer perceptions of food labeling and entomophagy. She teaches courses such as Introduction to Agricultural Communications and Writing and Editing for Agricultural Publications.

Her current grant, Science Communication Training for College of Agriculture Student Researchers (2023–2026), supports student engagement in science communication. She has published work on consumer attitudes toward insect consumption, food labeling, and agritourism marketing. Riggs also oversees graduate research through courses like Research and Thesis and Master's Thesis/Report.
