Angel Hessel serves as a Teaching and Learning Distinguished Lecturer and Teaching Faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Education. She is the Director of Student Teachers in the Elementary Education Program and the edTPA Coordinator for both the School of Education and Peck School of the Arts. Her work focuses on urban education challenges, particularly how race, class, and culture impact equitable school experiences. Hessel teaches courses addressing these issues and develops Co-Teaching models for teacher training.
Education: She holds a BA from Marquette University and an MS in Administrative Leadership and Supervision in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
