Barbara Miner is a Lecturer in the Photography & Imaging program at the Art & Design Department Studios, part of the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She holds an MFA in Photography/Multimedia from the same institution (2023).
Her research and creative work focuses on themes of industrialization, urban change, and education history. Notable achievements include a 1st-place award at the 'Being' exhibition at the Rahr Art Museum and authorship of the 2013 book Lessons from the Heartland, which examines public education in Milwaukee.
