Andy Radford is a Continuing Lecturer in Bassoon and Director of the University Wind Ensemble at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2022-2023). He holds the Principal Bassoon position with the Santa Barbara Symphony and California Philharmonic, and has performed with major ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Deutsche Oper Berlin. His career spans over 850 performances in Phantom of the Opera (1989-2003) and 200 film scores such as Forrest Gump and Star Trek. Radford is also an educator, having served as Music Director of the Santa Barbara Youth Symphony (2004-2020) and co-founder of the Ojai Youth Symphony (2002-2017).
