Andy Hardman is a part-time Lecturer in Cultural and Creative Industries at the University of Manchester's School of Arts, Languages and Cultures. His doctoral research examined relationships between artist mythologies and studio preservation practices.
Research explores filmmaking as both museum research tool and engagement strategy, examining creative methodologies for heritage interpretation and community collaboration. Current projects include longitudinal studies of museum redevelopment and disability histories.
Professional practice includes co-directing Belle Vue Productions, creating audio-visual content for international institutions including Barbican Gallery and National Trust. Recent collaborations include digital exhibitions exploring colonial histories.
