André Miede

Professor André Miede is a computer scientist at Saarland University of Applied Sciences (htw saar), where he heads the Systems Technology Laboratory (STL). Before joining academia, he worked in the banking sector focusing on investment banking, regulatory compliance, and risk management. He holds a PhD (Dr.-Ing.) in distributed systems from TU Darmstadt.

• Research interests include business information systems, business process management, gamification, persuasion, negotiation, and game design.
• Active in academic software development through his classicthesis LaTeX template inspired by Robert Bringhurst's typographic principles.

Professor Miede participates in university governance as a member of the Senate, Faculty Council, and W Commission. He also serves as a liaison lecturer for the German Informatics Society (GI).
