Andrew Thye Shen Wee

Andrew Thye Shen Wee is a Professor at the Department of Physics, National University of Singapore (NUS), with affiliations including Director of the Surface Science Lab and Principal Investigator at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM). He served as Dean of the Faculty of Science (2007-2014) and Vice President for University & Global Relations (2014-2019), and holds a Provost Chair (2013-2016). As Senior Faculty Member at NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences & Engineering (NGS), he contributes to interdisciplinary research.

His research spans Nanotechnology, Surface Science, and 2D Materials, focusing on Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Physics, and Molecular Interactions on Two-Dimensional Materials. He has edited seminal books such as 2D Semiconductor Materials & Devices (Elsevier, 2019) and Molecular Interactions on Two-Dimensional Materials (World Scientific, 2021).
