Andrew Robinson

Andrew Robinson is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Photography at Sheffield Hallam University, teaching across BA and MA programs in the Department of Media Arts and Communication within the College of Business, Technology and Engineering. He serves as module leader for practice and technical modules and leads professional practice for the photography program.

His research explores individual and communal identity through visual anthropology, integrating still/moving imagery, text, audio, and found materials. His photographic practice examines notions of identity through visual anthropology of people, place, and trace.

Robinson received First Prize from David Hockney (1988) and a Northern Arts Photography Bursary. He founded the online photobook resource Photobibliophile.co.uk and serves as external examiner for De Montfort University.
