Andrew Reeves

Andrew Reeves is an Associate Professor at De Montfort University (DMU), affiliated with the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development and the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development (IESD). He serves as DMU’s Project Director for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and leads the Environmental Sustainability theme for DMU’s collaboration with the University of Leicester. His academic work focuses on learning-based approaches to address climate emergencies and sustainable development in community and organizational contexts, with leadership roles in initiatives like the Race to Zero Carbon Accelerator and a QAA collaborative project on academic quality processes for sustainability.

• Research Interests: Behavioral change strategies, community climate action, organizational sustainability, low-carbon retrofitting, and transnational education partnerships.
• Teaching: Module leader for Leading Change for Sustainability, emphasizing behavior change in social systems.
• Community Initiatives: Co-founded Leicester’s first community energy co-operative, Greenlight Festival, and Carbon Rationing Action Group.
• PhD Supervision: Currently co-supervising five PhD students examining real-world sustainability initiatives in housing, education, and global contexts.
