Professor Andrew King is a Professor of Sociology and Associate Dean (Doctoral College) at the University of Surrey’s Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences. He leads the Centre of Excellence on Ageing (CEA) and co-directs the Centre for Research on Ageing and Generations (CRAG). His research focuses on LGBTQ+ inequalities, ageing, and methodologies like mixed methods and participatory approaches. Notable projects include the LGBTQ+ social housing equality framework (HouseProud Pledge Scheme) and the CILIA-LGBTQI+ comparative European study on life course inequalities.
