Andrew Joyce

Dr. Andrew Joyce is a Senior Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology, affiliated with the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship and the Centre for Social Impact. With over 25 years of experience, he specializes in public health evaluation, health promotion, and social policy, particularly for vulnerable populations including people with disability, refugees, and those in disadvantaged employment settings.

His research interests span public health, health promotion, disability and health, social determinants of health, social enterprise, and systems thinking. He has led extensive research on workplace wellbeing for people with intellectual disabilities, decision-making in public policy (e.g., NDIS, pandemic responses), and the role of social enterprises in improving health and employment outcomes.

Andrew Joyce has published widely in high-impact journals such as Frontiers in Public Health, BMC Public Health, and Health Promotion International. His recent work emphasizes systems approaches to health promotion, organizational structures that support wellbeing, and policy barriers to inclusive employment.
