Robert Campain

Dr. Robert Campain is a Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology, affiliated with the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship and the Centre for Social Impact. His work centers on disability and social inclusion, with a focus on the lived experiences of people with disability, their families, and carers. He collaborates extensively with community organizations such as Mind Australia, Spinal Life Australia, and international partners in Vanuatu and Papua New Guinea.

His research expertise includes the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), psychosocial disability, inclusive research methodologies, and outcome measurement in human services. He has developed accessible data collection methods involving people with intellectual disabilities and those using assistive technologies, promoting co-design and participatory research.

His recent publications highlight trends in evaluating community services, psychosocial recovery coaching, and the rights of children with disability in developing countries. He emphasizes holistic, rights-based approaches that bridge local and universal human rights frameworks.
