Prof Andrew Guppy is a Professor of Applied Psychology at the University of Bedfordshire’s School of Psychology. He holds a PhD in Applied Psychology from Cranfield University (1985), alongside MSc and BSc qualifications. His primary teaching focuses on forensic, health, and occupational psychology, including modules on research methods and individual differences. His research spans occupational stress, health and safety, substance misuse, and telehealth service evaluation. Notably, he led a £65k project analyzing the Cambridgeshire Telehealth and Telecare service (2013-2016). He actively supervises postgraduate research in occupational, health, and forensic psychology.
Recent studies include qualitative analyses of assistive technology adoption and disparities in maternal health outcomes across ethnic groups. His work bridges academic research with practical healthcare solutions, emphasizing telehealth innovation and health equity.
