Andrew Deruchie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Musicology at the Desautels Faculty of Music, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on orchestral and chamber music of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with a special emphasis on French topics. His work explores intersections between compositional practice, cultural history, aesthetics, musical form, and digital methods.

He is the author of The French Symphony at the Fin de Siècle: Style, Culture, and the Symphonic Tradition (University of Rochester Press), which received critical acclaim and was named a CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title in 2014.
