Dr Andrew Dean is the Head of Regional Engagement at Exeter Innovation (EI) within the University of Exeter. He holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Exeter (1987-1991), an MSc in Environmental Sciences from the University of Sheffield (1986-1987), and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences from the University of Hull (1983-1986). His work focuses on civic engagement, skills policy, labour markets, and regional economic development. He leads the Marchmont Employment and Skills Observatory, a research centre specialising in real-world interventions in regional labour markets.
