Dr. Andrew Biro is a Professor of Politics at Acadia University, with affiliations in the Environmental and Sustainability Studies (ESST) and Social and Political Thought programs. His research focuses on environmental politics (especially water), critical theory, political economy, and media's role in shaping political discourse. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from York University and a B.A. from the University of Toronto.
His teaching includes courses on climate change politics, American government, media and politics, and political philosophy. Recent publications include Organizing Nature: Turning Canada’s Ecosystems into Resources (2023) and Critical Ecologies (2011).
