Sonja Kleinod

Sonja Kleinod is a Research Fellow at the Graduate College Life Sciences – Life Writing, affiliated with Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Her work bridges philosophy, sociology, and ecological studies, focusing on the Anthropocene's epistemological and political crises.

Her research project Life in the Anthropocene interrogates concepts of life at the intersection of sciences and humanities, challenging the nature/culture dualism and exploring the lack of imaginative frameworks for post-Anthropocene existence. She engages with critical theories, political economy, and psychoanalysis to address ecological and societal dimensions of the Anthropocene.
