Andrew Agapiou

Dr. Andrew Agapiou is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, University of Strathclyde. He leads the Professional Studies curriculum and teaches on the LLM Construction Law Programme. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and holds memberships with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and other professional bodies. His expertise spans construction law, dispute resolution, and sustainable development. He leads the Construction Procurement and Law Research Cluster and chairs the CIB’s W113 Law and Dispute Resolution Working Commission.

Key areas include mediation practices, fraud in adjudication, and smart contract implementation. He publishes extensively on court-connected mediation and has authored monographs on ADR in construction.
