Andrei Manea DAMIAN

Associate Professor Andrei Manea DAMIAN serves as Head of the Department of Thermohydraulic Systems and Atmosphere Protection at the Faculty of Installations Engineering, Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB). His career spans teaching, research, and technical consulting in building installations and environmental quality since 1995.

His education includes:

• Bachelor's in Atmosphere Protection Installations (UTCB, 1995)
• Advanced Studies in Thermal Engineering (UTCB, 1996)
• Double PhD in Civil Engineering (UTCB & University of La Rochelle, 2003, Magna Cum Laudae)
• Habilitation in Energy Engineering (Polytechnic University of Bucharest, 2021)

Research focuses on thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and renewable energy integration in buildings. As a CAMBI Research Center member at UTCB, he advances Building Physics and transfer phenomena studies through practical applications in energy efficiency and sustainable design.

Awards:

• Magna Cum Laudae (PhD distinction)

He has supervised over 50 theses and led major projects: SEREFEN (2006-2008) on renewable energy in SMEs, and ISERBATURB (2016-2018) on urban renewable integration yielding 9 articles and international partnerships with Corsica and Sofia universities.

Currently active in UTCB's CAMBI Research Center and ASRO committees CT 53 (Air Quality) and CT 106 (Clean Rooms).
