Andreas Weiten

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Weiten is a Professor of Rational Energy Use and Plant Engineering at TH Bingen, a position he has held since 2011. He currently leads the Energy and Process Engineering program and provides academic advisory services in energy-related fields. Before joining academia, he worked at KSB AG (2006-2011) in research and development and earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from TU Kaiserslautern in 2006.

His research focuses on fluid mechanics, numerical flow simulation, and wind flow dynamics. He teaches courses on thermodynamics, conventional and renewable energy systems, fluid mechanics, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
