Andreas Weiermann is a Professor at Ghent University in the Department of Analysis, Logic and Discrete Mathematics. He holds international experience in mathematics, logic, and computer science, with a focus on foundational theoretical research.
His research interests include:
- Proof theory
- Subrecursive hierarchies
- Term rewriting
- Well partial orderings
- Analytic combinatorics of the transfinite
- Phase transitions for Gödel incompleteness
