About
Andrea Urice is a Teaching Professor of Drama and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Performing Arts Department at Washington University. She holds a MFA in Drama (directing emphasis) from the University of Virginia, where she was a Jacob K. Javits Fellow.
Her professional directing credits include works at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Guthrie Theater, and Goodman Theatre, among others. She co-directs Washington University’s Shakespeare’s Globe Summer Program in London and has directed five commissioned plays by Playwright-in-Residence Carter W. Lewis.
Urice’s awards include the College of Arts and Sciences Excellence in Teaching Award. She has also served as a guest director/teacher at Webster University, University of Virginia, and University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
