Andrea Tuijten

Andrea Tuijten is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Goldsmiths, University of London. She holds an MA in Applied Drama from Goldsmiths and brings expertise in community-engaged practices.

Her research examines socially engaged performance at the intersection of:

• Interfaith encounter and dialogue facilitation
• Critical pedagogy frameworks
• Youth-led artistic activism
• Post/decolonial creative methodologies

Tuijten has developed participatory programs for organizations including Ovalhouse, Rewrite, and The Faith and Belief Forum. Her international work includes curriculum design for Musicians Without Borders and presentations at the Parliament of World Religions.

She teaches across applied theatre and radical performance courses, emphasizing collaborative creation and critical reflection on power dynamics in community arts practice.
