Dr. Andrea McComb Sanchez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on Native American religious traditions, religion in the Southwest, intersection of religion with colonialism in the U.S., and religion-environment relationships. She is affiliated with the American Indian Studies Graduate Interdisciplinary Program and the Institute of the Environment.

Her current book project, Of Corn and Catholicism: A History of Religion and Power in Pueblo Indian Patron Saint Feast Days (under contract with University of Nebraska Press), examines the adaptation and appropriation of Catholicism by Pueblo Indians through their Patron Saint Feast Days. She teaches courses on American Indian religious traditions, Native North American spirituality, and theory/method in religious studies.
