Andrea Giunta is a Professor of Modern Latin American and Contemporary International Art History at Universidad de Buenos Aires and Senior Researcher at CONICET (National Council for Scientific and Technical Research), Argentina. Currently serving as a Visiting Research Scholar and Visiting Professor in Princeton University's Program in Latin American Studies (Fall 2025), she focuses on the intersections of modernity, feminism, human rights, and diaspora studies in art history.

Her research investigates Latin American art through feminist frameworks, memory studies, and diasporic cultural production. At Princeton, she is researching Dora Maar's Guernica and the artist's connection to Buenos Aires.
